Product information "Testomat® 808 SIO2"

Efficient online analysis of silicate levels with configurable limit values

The Testomat 808 SIO2 allows up to 10 individually configurable limit values within a measuring range of 0.3 to 1.2 ppm silicon dioxide, making it ideal for precise monitoring.

Measurement can be performed automatically (interval mode), via external control, or manually. Thanks to low reagent consumption, long operating times due to a generous indicator supply, and the integrated BOB function (operation without supervision), unattended operation of up to 72 hours is possible.

This makes the device particularly suitable for continuous operation in clinical environments, for example in demineralized process water treatment for sterile processing / CSSD.

Efficient measuring principle and innovative technology in the Testomat SIO2

The modern indicator pump system enables optical evaluation of the silicate content in water. In addition, the device features an adjustable limit value switch, robust electronics, and standardized interfaces for integration into PLC environments and further data processing.

Measuring principle & measuring range

  • Measuring principle: Molybdenum blue method - SiO₂ reacts with a reagent containing molybdenum. This results in a blue coloration of the water sample to be analyzed, which is evaluated optically in terms of its intensity.
  • Measuring range: 10 adjustable limit values in the range 0.3 to 1.2 ppm SiO₂.

Areas of application

  • Primarily for sterilization facilities in hospitals, for safe monitoring of deionized water.
  • The aim is to prevent silicate deposits in medical devices and on the instruments to be treated
  • Other areas of application: Semiconductor industry, surface cleaning processes for coating processes
